Safari content blocking

A cleaner Safari,
without the gaps

Block ads and trackers, then collapse the spaces they leave behind. You can also hide distractions such as cookie notices and app-install prompts.

Use the same filter lists in Safari on iPhone and iPad. The Mac version is currently in review.

Olijib protection controls and Safari filter lists

Your protection.
Kept simple.

  1. Lists we check ourselves

Start with filter lists created from our own checks. Add other lists by URL.

  2. DNS protection for in-app ads

Check and block advertising domains on your device. Choose the DNS server that suits you.

  3. DNS history when you need it

Recent DNS requests are kept briefly in device memory. Turning on DPI protection clears this history and stops new entries.

  4. The same protection after dark

The pond changes with the time and season. Your protection stays on throughout the day.

Use either protection, or both

Turn on DPI alone or use it alongside DNS protection.

  • DPI only
  • Both

Turning on DPI clears existing DNS history and stops new entries while it is enabled.

This applies to connections that use the system HTTPS proxy, such as supported Safari connections. It does not encrypt your IP address or SNI, and cannot guarantee support for every app, QUIC connection, or network restriction.

DPI help (Korean)

Frequently asked questions

Where do I turn on DPI protection?

DPI protection is available on iPhone and iPad. Turn it on from the app’s home screen. The Mac version is currently in review.

Do I need a subscription or account?

No. Buy once and use Olijib on iPhone and iPad with the same Apple Account. The Mac version is in review and will be available without another purchase when released. No account registration is needed.

Which ads can it block?

In Safari, Olijib blocks ads and trackers and collapses empty ad spaces. You can also hide cookie notices and app-install prompts. DNS protection can block advertising domains used by other apps.

Does it block ads in the YouTube or Instagram apps?

These apps serve ads and content from the same servers, so domain-based blocking cannot reliably separate them. Olijib can block ads when you watch YouTube in Safari instead.

Which devices are supported?

Olijib supports iPhone with iOS 26 or later and iPad with iPadOS 26 or later, including Safari, DNS and DPI protection. The Mac version is currently in review.

What does DPI protection do?

On iPhone and iPad, it splits the initial transmission of supported HTTPS connections on the device. This can make domain inspection harder for some network equipment, but it does not encrypt SNI or prevent all inspection and blocking.

Can I use DPI without DNS protection?

Yes. Use DPI alone or together with DNS protection. Using both requires Olijib’s DNS mode. Turning one off leaves the other running; turning both off stops the local VPN.

Why does the VPN indicator appear?

Olijib’s DNS mode on iPhone and iPad uses a local VPN configuration, shared with DPI protection. It does not route web traffic through our external VPN servers or change your IP address. DNS queries go to your chosen DNS server. DNS protection on the Mac version currently in review does not use a VPN.

Are DNS queries encrypted?

Selecting DNS over HTTPS encrypts the query in transit. Olijib does not add encryption to the network’s default DNS or DNS servers added by IP address. Your chosen DNS provider processes the queried domain names. DPI uses the same DNS server you select.

Do you collect browsing history?

Browsing history is not automatically sent to us. Recent DNS requests in Olijib mode are kept briefly in device memory. DPI protection clears them and stops domain-level logging. See our Privacy policy (Korean) for reports you choose to send and queries sent to your chosen DNS provider.
